Author Instructions for Final Paper (Upload deadline: Monday, November 30th)

Note: The information below refers to uploads of accepted final papers only.
It does not refer to paper submissions due on May 1st.

Note to authors uploading papers:

  • For a paper to be included in the Asilomar proceedings, one of the author(s) of the paper must:
  1. be physically be present at the meeting and present the paper at the conference,
  2. be registered at the conference,
  3. have turned in the copyright form at the registration desk during the conference.
  • No exception is made to this policy. Uploaded papers found to be violation of this policy will be pulled from the proceedings.

Final Paper Submission & Publication Information

  • Note that the Asilomar Conference has a long standing policy to restrict publication in the Conference Proceedings only to papers which were presented by one of the authors of the paper(s), and that the author/presenter be registered at the Conference for the paper to be published. NO exceptions are made to this rule. No late papers will be accepted. Accepted papers which are uploaded but have not been presented by one of the registered authors of the paper will be pulled from the publication stack. 
  • Final Paper Submission Information - An electronic-only submission procedure is in place to submit publication-ready papers
    • Final Papers must be uploaded electronically. NO hardcopy copies of papers are accepted.
    • Accepted final paper formats are: .doc (MS Word) .pdf .  This decision was reached to insure a low-likelihood of potential problems during the publication stage and timely publication of the proceedings.
    • You will need the 4-digit paper number assigned to your paper with your electronic submission to upload your final paper. Note, this 4-digit number is NOT the paper mnemonic, (i.e., MP-3 for example). You will not be able to upload your final paper using the paper mnemonic.  Should you not remember what you 4-digit paper number is, please send an e-mail to asilomar@cmsworkshops.com including the title of your paper to get a copy of the 4-digit number.
    • A signed Copyright release form is required for each paper and must be turned in the registration desk during the Conference.  Copyright information is available in the Instructions for Manuscript Preparation (see below). We will not accept copyright forms mailed in.
    • Authors uploading papers should be aware that one of the author(s) of the paper must: 1) have presented the paper at the conference, 2) be registered at the conference, and 3) have turned in the copyright form at the registration desk during the conference. No exception is made to this policy. Uploaded papers found to be violation of this policy will be pulled from the proceedings.
Instructions for Manuscript Preparation
  • Final Paper Formatting Guidelines (there have been some changes to previous versions, please read carefully).
  • PAGE LIMIT - 5 pages. 
    • Extra pages are allowed, at a cost of $100.00 US EACH, up to a total number of eight pages for a given paper (no exceptions, papers exceeding 8 pages will not be accepted by the Conference Staff at the Registration desk). 
    • For payment by check, please make your check payable to: "SS&C Corporation" and turn it in at the Registration desk. Receipts will be given at the Registration desk. 
    • The conference will publish the first five pages only of any uploaded paper for which extra page charges have not been paid.  It is the author(s) responsibility to insure extra page charges are paid at registration if needed.
  • Copyright release form (.pdf, .doc format) (1 copyright form MUST be turned in at the registration desk, papers will not be published without this form).
